We all know what December's like.
People: They have parties and school nativity plays and family functions and after-work drinks that get in the way of the important business of playing board games.
Pubs: They fill up with seasonal revellers, who spend money on upwards of three drinks each, which makes it difficult to find room for a bunch of board gamers.
For these reasons, check here or on the mailing list before rolling up to Newbold Comyn on a Thursday night in December expecting to play games.
Tonight (being November) is definitely on. Next week, 1st December, is probable. The following week, 8th December is questionable. The 15th is unlikely. The 22nd is fanciful.
But do check here. Two or more people, and an assurance from the bar staff that there'll be room, is all we need.
After talking to the bar staff on Thursday night it would appear that there are no issues with venue over the next few weeks. Obviously that might change but it sounds like the new management are using the main bar for parties and other large groups.
