Play board games in Leamington tonight

I won't be there (getting some culture in Stratford). Neither will Gary (on holiday in Brittany) but it's likely someone else will.

Should you happen to play Risk Legacy, how about letting us all know how the board has changed? I can give posting rights to any regular, or just email me what happened.

Last night's gaming

Risk Legacy again, four out of five players being new.

Rhian won and added a major city to the board. The rest of us added minor cities, which makes it very likely that next time we play we'll open a new envelope of game bits.

'Vegas' was the light follow up. Warwickshire Brewery 'Golden Buds' was on tap.

Play board games in Leamington tonight

Newbold Comyn Arms. 8pm.

I (JH) am 80% likely to turn up tonight. There's bound to be enough people for a game.

I have John E's bag of club games, so if a 20% chance of not being able to play Risk Legacy bothers you, get in touch.

Risk Legacy Rules

I would have benefited from having read the rules before playing.

If any of you want to -- look, they're here: http://www.hasbro.com/common/documents/dad2886d1c4311ddbd0b0800200c9a66/00D721465056900B10A16E11F8F54E7F.pdf

So far, we have not changed the rules by putting any stickers from the envelopes onto the rulebook.

Last night's gaming

5 gamers, willing to bear the indoor heat.

We started with La Boca - a light 3D block positioning game.

Then - at last - we cracked open Risk Legacy -- and it is good. Five of us have signed the back of the board. Ray has a major city on the board, permanently. The rest of us have minor cities on the board, also permanently.

Gratifyingly, it looks as if the game is geared up for allowing different players from game to game. It would be fine if the next game had entirely different players, indeed that would ensure plenty of us know the basics before things start to get silly.

Play board games in Leamington tonight

I (JH) won't be there tonight, but it's a fair bet that there will be enough for a game (last week there were six).

I have John E's bag of games too. If anyone has a burning desire to play any of those, get in tough and we can see about getting them to you.
