Last night's gaming

5 people, one game of Age of Industry. Sorted.

The Newbold's refurb is modest, but smartens it up a bit.

Play board games in Leamington tonight

I've checked with the Newbold Comyn Arms, and the reason they were closed last week was that they were getting refurbished. Everything is back to normal now and "looking beautiful".

So, it's board gaming there at 8pm.

I for one, am hoping for plentiful neon, and padded booths modelled after American cars.

Last night's relocated gaming

Six hardy gamers assembled at the Newbold Comyn Arms last night, only to find the lights out and the doors locked. So we relocated to the Cask and Bottle, which provided a perfectly acceptable gaming environment.

We played 6-player Locke and Key. Although it officially takes that many players, I think it suffers as a result.

We played 6 player Seven Wonders with all the expansions - which is a lot to keep track of.

We played a couple of rounds of Love Letter to fill the time while John E finished his pint.

John E has taken on the duty of finding out what's up at the Newbold.

Play board games in Leamington Spa tonight - Thursday 14th November

BoardSilly board games club meet tonight from 8pm at the Newbold Comyn Arms in Leamington Spa.

I may arrive slightly late this evening (8:20ish).
I will bring a big bag of games, probably including

Risk Legacy

& one of Reiner Knizia's.
Let me know if you want me to pack a club game that I might have.
We ask for subs of 50p towards future purchases of more boardgames, unless it is your first visit, in which case it's free.
See you later,
